Copyright & Takedown Policy

Vleesboek respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our members to do the same. This policy describes how copyright owners (or their authorized agents) can submit takedown requests, and how we handle other content-removal requests such as non-consensual intimate imagery and impersonation.

1. Submitting a Takedown Request

To submit a takedown request, please use our takedown request form. You will be asked to provide:

• your full name and email address;
• the URL of the content you want removed;
• the type of complaint (copyright / non-consensual / impersonation / other);
• a clear explanation of the issue;
• a statement of your rights or relationship to the content;
• a good-faith confirmation that the information in your request is accurate.

Once submitted, you will receive a case ID that you can use to reference your request in any follow-up communication.

2. Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright (or the copyright of someone you are authorized to represent), submit a takedown request that includes:

• identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
• identification of the allegedly infringing material and its URL;
• your contact information;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your request is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
• your physical or electronic signature.

We will review your request and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We may notify the member who posted the material and provide them with a copy of your request.

3. Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery

If intimate imagery of you has been posted without your consent, submit a takedown request through our form and select "Non-consensual" as the complaint type. Provide as much detail as possible, including the URL and a brief explanation. We prioritize NCII reports and remove confirmed content promptly.

4. Impersonation

If you believe a member is impersonating you or your organization, submit a takedown request selecting "Impersonation" as the complaint type. Please provide information that helps us verify your identity and the impersonation.

5. Counter-Notice

If you believe that your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice through our contact page within 14 days of removal, including:

• identification of the removed content and its original URL;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed in error;
• your contact information and consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts;
• your physical or electronic signature.

We may restore the content within 10–14 business days of receiving a valid counter-notice, unless we receive notice that the original complainant has filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement.

6. Repeat Infringers

We will terminate the accounts of members who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright, in appropriate circumstances.

7. Response Time

We aim to acknowledge takedown requests within 72 hours and to complete our review within 7 business days. Urgent reports (for example, suspected CSAM) trigger immediate content hiding and may be reported to law enforcement without notice.

If you believe a minor is in danger or content depicts abuse of a minor, contact local law enforcement and report to NCMEC's CyberTipline (or your local equivalent) immediately.
